Right now I'm sporting an 83 Honda CB900 horn because mine died. But, it is nowhere near loud enough to get the attention of the idiots in Florida. I'm looking for a relatively cheap horn that is pretty loud.

I'm still running the stock horn (which we all know sucks), but I've heard good things about these.

The Hella Disc-Type horn is supposed to be a good budget choice:

You want the "high tone" model.

Hey waiho, that air horn looks sweet.  Does it just bolt in and plug-and-play, or did you have to mod the bracket/wires?
Good day to you!

I have a a fairing version, soo it was easy to hide!
wiring: well you need to install a relay and fuse to the battery!.
braket: dont have access to the bike right now, but I remember I had to use washers with the provided bolt to make sure it hold properly. if you want pics, you'll need to wait till this spring/summer!

I've got one of these (the low tone) on my 650R, and it's "meh" at best.  I have better luck with the GS's horn.

I have one of these that was in my Civic, if I could find a place to hide it on my bike it would be on there by now. It has two different sounds:
-one is an extremely loud, extremely high pitched steady tone
-the other is a police siren.

I have this Hella horn. It is kinda big, wasn't hard to install when I had fairings, but now the red kinda sticks out. Very loud and reliable for 20,XXX through plenty of rain and hurricanes down here.

Really Nik here in Florida they don't respect the sound of a pissed off lawn mower! I really need to get a go pro to show how driving is here in O town! Yesterday was driving in a school zone 20mph I was a little over. A honda Civic whips out from around me cuts me off within inches of his bumper slams on the brakes and then goes 8mph for the next 1/4 mile of the school zone! WTF people!

What about these? Looks like someone wants that used stebel more than I do. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Stebel-TM80-Magnum-Horns-Black-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem33645d2ca5QQitemZ220727159973QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo

Was also thinking about this one too.

Sometimes fiddling with the nut on the front of the horn and/or the screw on the back can help 'tune up' a horn.
