Before I found my 92, I was calling dealerships in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware, and New Jersey. No one could get a single GS500 in and they were all sold out. People around here are asking over $3,500 for their 4 and 5 year old bikes.

So the question might not be WILL you buy a new bike... it might be CAN you find a bike!

Yes I already had one dealer tell me the dont and wont have anymore, so I emailed two other dealers for quotes and have yet to hear. Basically I am not planning on doing this unless I can play hardball with the dealers and get the deal I want. I mean I really dont NEED to upgrade and I suppose I could use that to my advantage and walk out on them if they don't play nice.

Warranty doesnt bother me as I will do my own work.

the Suzuki 1.99% deal is good until 2016 before rates change.

And the idea that im getting a $1000 rebate seems to negate the fact the I would be paying a lot more upfront, I mean NADA is putting a 2007 GS at $3000 average retail. If I got the price where I wanted it all said and done, I would only be about $300 more than that for a brand new bike.

Im not saying im sold on this, but the deal seems pretty decent if I can get what I want.
