yeah man that thing is destroying my email. I've gotten about 15 in the past 10 minutes. I need to get that sorted. I already unchecked notifications but it's still going

Yeah, seems notifications were turned off. Buddha turned em on, which sent a notice, reminded people of its existence, and a few posts later people are pissed off.

I temporarily shut down thunderbird so it would leave me alone.

Just go into your Accounting Settings / Notifications / Groups (email notices, the link's at the bottom of the Groups thing) and unclick the GSTwin Email Notification in the popup box

You can also go to your email and there is a link at the bottom that links you directly to the setting to turn them off.  So many alerts in such a short amount of time.
