I am going to be storing my bike very shortly, and was wondering what were some things I should and shouldnt do to it?  What do you do to your bike when you store it?  It will be stored indoors with the temp at about 50 degrees. Thanks for your help.

Top off the tank with gasoline & add gasoline stabilizer.  Run the motor for a few minutes so the gas/stabilizer mixture gets into the carburetors.  Remove the battery & store it in a room temperature environment.  The 50 degree storage may be OK, but I would remove the battery from the bike anyway in case it would leak for some reason over the winter.  Plug the exhaust can hole with a rag or something like that so a mouse doesn't decide to make a house in there.

These are about the only things I do.  Other people may change the oil (but don't run the motor after the oil is changed) or remove the spark plugs & put a teaspoon of oil in the plug hole & reinstall the plugs.

You have alot of people here in the northern climates that have talked about winterizing there bike.  Here is a thread about winterizing routines that should help in getting your bike for winter. :thumb:
