2002 Bandit 1200 Shock

Hey y'all. Has anybody tried installing the mono shock off of a Bandit 1200 on a GS? I ask because there's one on CL in the area for a good price, and if it can be installed without major mods I think a stiffer rear suspension would be nice. Otherwise I'll just keep my eye out for a good deal on a Kat 600, SV, or GSX-R shock. Thanks.
