While riding my 2001 Gs500, I arrived at my girlfriends and as i was putting it into neutral, I noticed the plastic lens cover that goes over the Brights indicator the Blue one, was gone. Now its just a hole, and you can look in and see the tiny bulb. I Am not sure what these are called I assume lens covers..but I would like to replace it and not have a hole leading to something electrical in case of rain. Any one know where I can find these??

double that question for me too

Bought mine without a cover on the high beam.
Bulb doesnt even work but eventually want the hole filled.

already checked awhile ago and just did again now to be sure, but nope, isnt anything on the OEM diagram of the speedo & tach cluster.

Yep...my oil pressure red lens fell off early last year. I remember it flying past my head and thinking it was a bug. I stuck a piece of red electrical tape over the hole and it has held up fine since. Even seals out the rain better than the original cover.

I would like to properly fix it someday if I ever run across a replacement cover.

Suzuki only sells the entire assembly, not the lenses.  Post a wanted ad in the For Sale section and I'm sure you'll find someone with a bent assembly that would sell the lenses.  Or if you don't mind half assing it, put some clear tape over the hole and install a blue LED bulb  :thumb:

I've been parting out my instrument cluster. I have both lenses and could probably pass them along.

Just ask in the FS section. Use some super glue to pet them back on! I have an extra or so, but Im  holding on to them for when mine other ones fall off

When mine fell off I took a piece of clear tape and colored it blue.  :icon_mrgreen:

That was going to be me. But I need a lens or two to make a mold.  If someone sends me a lens, I'll send it back to you with a new blue one. First two test subjects get a free blue lens.

I've got some if you still need one for the mold.

Is anyone still making these? I have two on my bike I need to replace.

+1 ... I need the blue lens also. I'll be taping over it in the interim.

Ah, the reoccurring blue lens syndrome!  I think I'll go ahead and take preventative measures and glue the heck out of mine before I lose it.  Superglue? JB? Silicone?

Go LED. From opening up plenty of gauge brackets, it seems the heat from the incandescent lamp causes the glue to melt and the plastic cap to deteriorate to the point it can fall off. The others don't do that because none of the others are on all the time (assuming you ride with high beam on a lot).
LEDs would prevent all the heat from  the bulb and the blue cap should survive. There is no ventilation in there for the indicators so heat continues to build up and eventually destroy the blue cap.

They are not glued in from the factory. They simply push into the respective hole and click into position. Each lens is keyed to its respective hole and will only fit one way, its impossible to mix the positions up. High beam seems to be the one that constantly falls out, probably because it has the loosest fit of the four.

Sorry for the post-necro... I'm only adding to it in case someone else stumbles across it and are looking for replacement lenses.  I have some that I made using my father's 3D printer.  Send me a PM and I can probably help you out.

This kind of thread revival / additional post makes total sense to me. I'm glad you're wanting to help people out! Thank you
