So, I wanted to figure out why I keep killing my credit cards since I got my bike...

It seems I build up a super strong static electric charge while riding... anyone else have this problem/ have a solution?

ground yourself  :D

but seriously if your bike is building up a net charge then i think something is wrong with your grounding.

I dont think its the bike, its REALLY dry in Austin, I think its the wind friction building up the charge causing me to zap stuff lol, as far as grounds go, my bike is running fine and ground cable is tight

oh maybe you can put em in a static bag... like for computer parts. kinda annoying but it should work

Are you storing them differently when you ride your bike.... or keeping them in the same old spot in your wallet as they have always been kept?

yeh only strong/long exposure to magnets or Electro Static Discharge can kill a magnetic strip... Unless my bike has turned into a giant electro magnet, Its got to be ESD. It happens to old cards new cards anything... I had 2 old ones go bad and thought they might just be weak but then I tried my new card and it died too...
