I was at auto zone, and they have air/fuel mixture gauges for around 30 dollars....
Could you get that, and o2 sensor, and a power source, and be able to more accurately see if your rich/lean for a fairly low cost of investment?

its not that easy that is just a guage. you need the computer unit that converts the O2 readings into numbers.  search ebay youll find that for this setup youll need about 500 bucks to get a 2 channel o2 unit.

To get the absolute best out of an air fuel meter, you do need to read from both header pipes running wide band O2 sensors. With narrow band sensors it's a crap shoot on how much jetting to add/subtract and at what throttle position, load, and rpm.It would be beneficial to be able to data log the info along with throttle position and rpm.If you wanna do all this, you could add fuel injection using microsquirt or megasquirt, and the system would give you all the info after set up and test ride.It would cost about the same.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

I do custom work on HEMI engines and the cheapest wide band we use is the Innovate LC1 which uses a Bosche O2 sensor and can be connected to a laptop for AFR readings. Obviously, you need an O2 bung welded in the exh pipe

If i didn't own a house that needs a new roof ($thousands$) i would have just ordered one of those.
Guess i will wait until after the roof gets done....

I would use three o2 bungs (two plugged at any given time)... one near muffler for 'normal' conditions... curiosity etc.
One in each header pipe before collector.. for 'tuning' conditions.  (for $400 i would be willing to tune one cylinder at a time)

???
How does it connect to laptop computer?
usb?
Does the computer always have to be connected to sensor and gauge?  Or can just use gauge and 02 sensor?

Thanks!
I keep forgetting to turn the petcock on before i bolt down gas tank. :(
