Maybe an ounce lighter, but look so cool! I love them. No vibration problems. Didn't notice any difference after changing from stock to R&G.

Awesome, I think I will pick up a pair.  Thanks.

Got in another "E" fairing. This will probably go purple and be on the Husky bike. This one needs a little TLC. It has had a couple fiberglass repairs - but done correctly. Windshield has a corner cut off so will cut the other corner to match. Doubt I can get a replacement windshield.

NEW GENUINE SUZUKI GS500 GS 500 HANDLEBAR    56200-01D00-0FP

WOW! I gotta brag about this one - a BRAND NEW 1989 CLIP ON SET! $131 + $28 postage.
I farted a wet one when I saw this for sale. Just came on ebay with BUY IT NOW a couple hours ago from a dealer in Israel. (Do I have a little black book of where to get new old stock GS500 parts?)

With new bars, new 2009 controls, R&G bar ends - holy crap! Phenix will be a nearly new 1993 (as per the titled frame) bike.

But there is a bad side: See the mold seams on the clip ons? They all have them. I file them down when I clean 'em up and repaint them. These are pristine brand new old stock - I'll have to live with the seams 'cause I won't farkle up these hew ones.

Simply beautiful to look at!

and im not one for fairings but that one actually looks SWEET on the GS!
probably the only one I would buy if I was going that route!

between the bike cave... and the massive amount of spare parts... AND LUCK... I think its fare to say everyone hates and loves the shaZam! out Adidasguy...

But... shaZam! that is one hell of a lot of awesome spare parts, if i could get one of those E fairings made up to work with a F headlight damn that would be sexy...

How much is a brand new 93 worth?
More of a 1989 through 2009 model. Only the title says 1993. What's it worth? Not as much as I'm putting into it combined with how much someone is willing to pay.

It is quite an education to learn the subtle differences from year to year, and how much is the same.

Sometimes I feel a find of some NOS should be in a display case rather than on the bike. Has any one of us ever seen or touched brand new 1989 clip-ons? Is there another NOS set in the world? I remember selling a NOS 1989 headlight cowling still in the original box to someone on the board. I still have a NOS tank (1993?) - the red one with the pink squiggles. Bought that the same time I bought Juniors brand new 1994 tank.

I finally figured out where you are finding all these parts.

Doh,I am slow.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

Maybe some - there are maybe 20 places I have for good finds. You can PM me and I'll tell you if it is one of the places  :icon_lol:

(Since we're on the topic, I just got 2 more new 1989 sets!  :flipoff: Probably the last 2 new sets in the world? I guess I'll sell my used sets in a couple weeks  :D )

I'd love to find NOS for the short Euro clips (aka type 1). Someday they will show up. It is amazing what I have been able to find in the short time I have been searching the world for GS parts - which is under 2 years.

With 3 NOS sets coming in, I'm tempted to make one set a display unit with NOS bars, NOS controls and maybe even OEM bar ends.

When NOS turns up - you gotta jump on it. The complete set OEM price is $310 and obsolete everywhere I look. Bars can be found and bar ends are a stock item. All cowling and belly pan parts seem obsolete, too. No idea what the part number is for the full fairing. I'll have to look on the box at home. however it does seem to be TCP with 2 different models. One difference is the headlamp: one has a single rectangle lamp and the other has a dual lamp but fit into the same space.

I'll have my good used sets for sale soon. Now I have to remember who put first and second dibs on them.

The one bad thing on the new old stock is the mold seam. When I repaint them, I first file that off so all edges are smooth.
I do not want to file down and repaint them since they are new.

Shinny :D :woohoo: You will be getting another set in a few days.

On the used sets, I plan to take time to clean them up and refurbish them. One thing I do not like is the mold seam on the parts. Can't remove it from the new ones - well - because they are new, virgin parts. On used ones, I'll file that down then prep for painting or paint them and apply a 2 part urethane clear.

I did learn why the master cylinder changed after 1989. The 1990+ master cylinder is wider. When put on original 1989 bars, it interferes with the gauge bracket. You need to use the European bars with the 1990+ master cylinder because those bars are 1" longer, allowing extra space for the larger master cylinder. Otherwise, use a 1989 master cylinder with the shorter 1989 bars.

More things I've learned about parts changes over the years!

Junior with new clips and the 1990+ European bars due to the use of a 2009 master cylinder.
