now that ive had my suki for a few weeks and have racked up almost 1k on her ive realized shes cold blooded alike all hell!!! im in so cal and its been 80 to 90 deg in the day for the past few weeks and she takes a good 15 to 20 min to warm up and stop misfiring. and i never really get a consistent idle. ive got her so shes at 8 to 1k cold and 15 to 18k warm. i finally got a chance to remember to take a exhaust temp check with a infrared temp gun from where the header comes off the head and there is a 100 deg difference between each cylinder. 550 and 650 between the two. the po wasnt sure if a valve clearance check was ever done and she has 19k on her. he said he worked the carbs over before he saold to me but im thinking the balance might be off if there that much of a temp difference when shes warm. any other idea what might help her warm up faster and stop missing so much when cold? shes a 2001 so i believe she has the 3 circuit carbs and i havent found too much info on how to rejet them on here. any help would be greatly appreciated. oh and if it helps as far as i and the po know she is totally stock. i need toa fenderactomy but for some reason even though shes a she for me it still kinda reminds me for a circumcision and makes me cringe.......  :cookoo: :icon_mrgreen: i need to figure out how to post pics.

You need to clean the carbs and probably rebuild them.Set the float height with the carbs on the bike and make sure it's level front to back and side to side. Then you want to check the valve clearances and adjust as needed.Once that is done get a fresh air filter and plugs.Get her running and idling between 1200 and 1500 rpm. Then sync the carbs.Go for a 20 minute ride and adjust the idle to between 1200 and 1500 rpm.
