FS: 89-00 Tank, fender and tail - SOLD

These were painted ducati yellow by the PO. They were on Trey until he went purple so I know all works OK.

All are the same yellow - more of what the tank looks like. Lighting was different when photos taken

Boxed and ready to shop in an original Suzuki tank box.
I know a few of you are looking for a tank. Prefer to sell as a set but can sell tank and plastics separately. I have lots of other tails if you're going for a certain look. There are a couple minor dings in the paint, but plastics are excellent and tank has no dents and doesn't leak. You could put them right on a bike. Fender won;t have the mud flap unless I can find a spare one as it is needed for the bike buikld.

I'll leave it posted so you can make an offer or start an open bidding. I'd like to sell it and ship it out on Monday, I think UPS is about $40. For extra can do next day, 2 day or 3 day.

Here's the inside of the tank. It doesn't leak and is clean. Appears to have been coated. Was on Trey for a few months until he went purple.

Well, I WANT them, but I can't AFFORD them, so I'll start the bidding at $1 each. Those will look really nice on someone's project. Not a big fan of yellow motorcycles, but Ducati yellow really stands out. I've also seen a Lamborghini yellow which seems a close match, to my eyes anyway...

Well, $1 ain't gonna get it.
If no one interested (even though I read posts of people wanting a good tank) then we'll keep it in the West Seattle Club for one of our projects.
I'll give it a couple more days.

Obviously, I NEVER believed that my "bid" would accomplish much; I just wanted to let you know how much I like the color. Don't worry, the day AFTER you sell them on Craigslist, someone here will offer you TWICE the amount you got for them...

You have color-matching body parts for sale; you know as well as I do that someone with surplus funds will make you an acceptable offer if you are willing to wait for the right buyer to come along. I hope you DON'T sell them on Ebay; they are GSTwins parts now, and I hope they get sold to a member here...

I'll try to remember to BUMP this thread every day until you find a buyer. Of course, my memory fails me almost every day, so that offer might not count for much...

Hang in there man, and please try to avoid selling the tank seperately from the rest of the parts. The color match is much too nice to break up that set... if I had the cash, those parts would already be mine...

Had a $150 offer. Hoping for more like $200.
Been busy in the cave all weekend (and now dealing with 90 year old mother who throws away her mail - including health insurance bill so that got cancelled. have to see if I can get them to re-instate it.)
I've been lucky getting some good deals so I should spread the good will and I won't hold out for top dollar (yea, I know tanks can go for over $200 and plastics - especially with the center piece - up to a hundred or more for a set). By tomorrow night I'll close a deal to get it shipped and on its way.
