Hey guys,
I'm new here and I hope this is the right place to post my question.
I have a 2007 gs500f that I bought at the beginning of the year. She's run great until a few days ago, when I was doing a trip across Canada, with a friend in a truck. It rained so I loaded her in the truck and kept going. When I unloaded her 2 days later, she was pissing out oil and gas out of the drain tube from the air intake. Also she was really hard to start. I had to roll her down hill for her to turn over.

I didn't know to turn the petcock off (which is under the tank), and the position the bike was in must have leaked gas into the oil.   I changed the oil and she started great. And ran really well for 15 min, when I slowed down to do a u-turn she sputtered and died, and wouldn't start. I can hear a clicking when I was trying to start her. I push started her down a hill and gave it some throttle to get her going. She was ok until I slowed down at a stop, and the same thing happened.

The battery does hold a charge (been tested) and leaving her off for a few hours starts the bike great for 15 min. Then stalls, and clicking. It must be electrical but I figure it can't be the alternator, otherwise it wouldn't run at all.

Does anyone have any ideas. I'd really appreciate any advice.

Did you have a look at your air filter?

For two days you should Not need to turn off the undertank petcock. The normal "on" position on the frame should not allow gas through when the bike is switched off. If it does you have other issues (vacuum seal) to resolve as well.
