I bought an 09 leftover about a year and 3 months ago...my delaer in northern NJ has lots of 'em in stock....Their website now shows none in new inventory.....I also visited another Suzuki dealer in North NJ recently and they had none on display.....

I would start making lots of phone calls...maybe still one or two somewhere...

The GS500F no longer appears on the Suzuki site where previously there were 09. 08, and 07 leftovers at the the $4399 sale price.

I would appreciate anyone finding or seeing a new unit on the floor or in stock preferably in the Northeast area. Thanks!

I have a like new 2006F with an attractive price if you are interested.  PM me for details.

Thanks, but looking for a new one if there is still one out there.

I have not seen any in SE Mich but I will check.  There has to be one somewhere!  Good luck.  Any reason you need brand new?

treehouse99

This will probably be my last motorcycle, and I don't need anything larger.

What did you have?  Why did you sell it?  Why are you adament about getting another one?

I am still getting used to my GS500F and am curious about your dedication.

Thanks,

rkjjeep

treehouse will probably answer but this is my first GS500 after a LONG line of bikes ranging from mini bikes and scooters to Goldwings and K1200LT's with track bikes, dual purpose bikes and everything in between.  Once it is set up and running right this is a cool little bike.  I'm not TOO old yet but I was starting to have a little difficulty with the really big heavy bikes.  Not so with the GS.  Fun to ride, opportunity to tinker and improve, easy to maintain, easy to manage.  I see the attraction.

i would buy 2 off craigs list for the price of 1 new one, buy 1 that runs and 1 that doesn't you have one to tinker with all day long and one to ride when you can never fix the 2nd one and want to beat it with a stick...
2004 GS500F (Sold)
2001 GS500 (being torn apart)
1992 GS500E (being rebuilt)

Thanks for the help everyone, I will make some calls tomorrow as many dealers are closed on monday. Looking for a new unit as I have other projects to work on and just want something new-new.

I know you're probably tired of the advice but sometimes "well sorted used" is better than new.  I know you're too far away to buy mine but I would not trade mine for a brand new one right now.

mister

@rkjjeep The man wants new, leave him to buy new, fair enough?

OK - I promise not to sell him mine, even if he tries to buy it!

treehouse - see results of cycle trader search for new F - looks like VA might be closest.  http://www.cycletrader.com/Suzuki-Motorcycles/search-results?condition=N&keyword=gs500f&make=Suzuki|2320128&radius=any&schemecode=AD&sort=year%3Adesc&type=Motorcycle|356953&&year=*%3A2010&zip=48130&

You can also use a sight called "search tempest" to search any and all craigslist for "new GS500F".  I came across some "like new" but did not look at the whole list.

Good luck!

I am getting up there age wise, and for these reasons opted for the GS500.  My previous bike, and I am not bragging was a BMW 750T.   It is a wonderful bike.  It is/was very responsive, comfortable, dependable, etc.  I just found it was getting Heavy, A Big Turning Radius, Hard to handle and the Bars were chest high.

My 1 month experience with the GS500 is that it is very manageable on foot, bars are waist high. It is fun and tight handling, and still has lots of Poop if you keep the revs about 4000.

It is not a great tourer, but it is a Lot Of Fun Bike and easly manageable physically.
