I was just wondering what people thought about putting an HID Kit on my GS500f? Is it a practical thing to do because i know it will certainly make me more seen by other drivers on the road. Is it worth getting and installing on my bike or should i maybe try something like an LED Kit first? What are some thoughts?

Blind drivers are not able to see you.

I've been seeing broken projecter headlights from accidents laying around on the road, and I've always wanted to make a headlight housing for the GS. I think it'd be cool to have a projector lens behind the stock headlight bucket (for appearances) and then be able to mount up a HID without a crappy lens projection or blinding other drivers. I know you can buy just the projector for a 20-30 bucks.

led in my opinion looks tacky man.. if adjust the hid properly you wont blind other drivers and see more as well as be seen man!

Hids are easy to instal and are simply plug and play! i have them in 2 vehicles, and getting the set for my bike sooner or latter!

just my opinion

Best way to install HIDs is with an external lamp.

HID bulbs do not produce the same beam pattern as a Halogen bulb, and although you can install a HID bulb in a halogen housing, the light output pattern won't be correct. In a housing with a beam cut-off, it can work... Without, the HID will blind other drivers.

Personally, I *DO NOY* recommend HID retrofits.
