New GS500 ownere in VA

Hello boardmembers.  I just purchased a 1993 GS500 for my wife's first bike.  It needs some love, but with only 20k on the clock the motor is still in great shape.  So far I have purchased...

New tires front and rear
New levers
Fork Seals
Chain
Handlebars
Battery (still need to buy)
and gas.

As of now the bike is torn down with the tires and bodywork off awaiting paint.  My wife is taking the MSF this weekend and hopefully will be riding the bike by next weekend.  I ride a Shadow 750 so it's a little different to be working on a sportbike, but I have had lots of dirtbikes so it's really not much different to me.  I have been all over the forum searching and reading, and have pulled a lot of great info already.  The plan is to have the bike back together next weekend.  The best part?  Even with all the new parts I have going on I will still be under 1200 bucks for a great riding machine.
