Aftermarket bearings?

Hey,

Does anyone know if aftermarket plane bearings are available for the GS500? I'm planning to rebuild a spare engine, but don't want to shell out $7 a pop for the stock plane bearings if it can be avoided. Especially appreciative if there's something superior on the market.

Babbits ... hell no ... however you may have luck getting some car stuff ...
BTW you know there is a pint treatment that has moly etc and will prevent scoring etc etc ...
