Well I have been reading threads on here and along with the peoples user names and always wondered how you came up with it?

Mine is easy. I saw the movie "Top Gun" in 1986 with Tom Cruise. The seen when he is flying the Tomcat and radios the tower to do a fly by the tower responds with, "negative Ghostrider the pattern is full"

I thought that was the coolest name! Years later I learned about "Ghostrider" the horseman and then Nicolas Cage came out with the stupid movie "Ghostrider" on a bike (which sucked) and now there is a part 2  :dunno_black:

So what's your story on your username???

Paulcet

My name is Paul.   I was a "Certified Electronics Technician" when I first made the username WAAAYYYY back.  I have since let the certification lapse since I don't directly work with electronics much any more.  But have kept the username because it is always available.

Big Rich

Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a big guy. Almost 5'9" and about 180 pounds. My name is Rich however, and I was at a bar with some friends when a girl started trying to take advantage of a drunk friend for money for drinks. Basically I got into an argument with her and she called me a "big F'n D1ck". My friends thought it was hilarious and it just kinda stuck.

tt_four

When we bought the GS500 for Heather, and I started coming on the forum, my current bike was a Triumph Speed Four. In trying to come up with a user name I somehow ended up combining TT, because the Speed Fours were an offshoot of the TT600 model, and well, of course the Four. I've thought about picking something better, but I've had it long enough, not to mention I've got that 4000 post count so people know I'm serious!  :woohoo:

I'm Australian and I own a GS. And as is the Australian way we shorten words as much as we can. So Aussiegs came about.
Some say that he submitted a $20000 expense claim for some gravel

And that if he'd write a letter of condolance he would at least spell your name right.

Roxtar

the year was 1999... I was into gaming and guitar. at that time, every online name had to have either a Z or an X in it....

Roxtar = the "cool way" to spell Rockstar.

steezin_and_wheezin

Used this as my first e-mail i ever created, ~9years ago. The song Blinded By The Light was on and this part played as I was thinking up a name for my e-mail;

"With a boulder my shoulder,
feeling kinda older,
I tripped the merry-go-round
With this very unpleasin', sneezin' and wheezin,
the calliope crashed to the ground"

steezing, steeze, steezer is a slang word we use for stylish.

got a kick out of Steezin and Wheezin and it stuck
if yer binders ain't squeakin, you ain't tweakin!

where's xune,....that should be an interesting answer,....

I learned about bikes working on my old F2, then picked up a beat to death F3 and fixed it and figured cbrfxr went well.  67 is my wife's birthyear and a good all around musclecar year.   :thumb:

Mine is completely inane and arbitrary - has no meaning nor does it come from anywhere.

It's pronounced "Key jone (Joan) aah" :)

Slack

I used to do a ton of Slacklineing.  I still enjoy walking a line, but am not quite as addicted as I once was.  I'm also a mellow, laid back kind of guy. Although I don't think slacker describes me very well, slack sort of fits the bill.

For those of you who have never walked a line it is THE best form of cross training for just about any sport, including motorcycling.  Not just because of the stamina and muscles it works; It teaches you how to completely relax and remain calm no matter what.  On a slack line the second you get nervous you tense up and fall off.  You learn to relax even when shaZam! is hitting the fan.  This will help you if you find yourself entering a corner too hot.  Instead of getting nervous, tensing up, and making the situation worse you'll remain relaxed and focused as you make the corner.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!
