out of curiosity what do you mean by blue caps?

The little blue plastic cap for the high beam falls out a lot. So there is always a joke about the little blue cap and how rare they are when someone loses one. Probably the heat from the indicator bulb  melts the glue or causes the plastic to shrink and fall off when you hit a bump. Only because the high beam would be the only indicator that can be on for a LONG period of time for heat to affect the plastic cap.

Things seem pretty legit. He sent me the VIN, drivers license and copy of the title.
If he was a thief, I do not believe he would have offered that information.
He does have the engine on ebay.

He sent me his information (in confidence) because I have a high rating here. Armed forces on the license as mentioned.

Given that he volunteered that information, I would feel comfortable buying from him. Now to think if I need anything.....

Ill get some whole pics and more shots (w damage detail) tomorrow. Most of the plastic is shot. Upper cowl is broken, right fairing is scratched and broken. Right tail cowl is broke, middle piece too. Left fairing has some light scratches. Left tail cowl is ok but decals are sunbleached. The mainstay is bent a little and one of the ears to the headlight is broke if i remember right from the last time i looked in there. Windscreen is yellowed.
basically everything functional is good. Some of the damaged parts I would give away if it was local. If anyone wants em and wants them shipped id charge something nominal to pack and ship em.

I need to focus on this other project for now, I'm getting ahead of myself. I've been wanting a rough gas tank to play with, but I need to make sure I finish the job at hand with the money I've got. Sorry for the false alarm.

all plastic, tank and seat are sold. gauges are sold. dibs placed on the lock set.
frame and clear title ill have to address after the rest and see how far out i still am on paying off the beast.

Sickboy57 and his bike are the real deal. All indications that the bike are his are legit, he's a real nice guy and it was nice doing business with him.

As mentioned, he sent me on his own, copies of drivers license, VIN and bike registration. Also posted on ebay for the motor.
All looks fine.

left mirror is good and available, right is toast. rear blinkers are good and available. the battery blocks are missing.

As you take things apart, I'd go for a box of all the bolts, washers, nuts, rubber parts, bushings, cables, hoses, electricals, perches, etc. basically everything left over as a box-o-bolts. Maybe, as you get to the end, include some of the non-sold stuff for a package deal.

Don't toss anything away as you disassemble it. Throw in a box-o-stuff. I'll buy that.
