Which valve spring compressor?

I don't think I'm going to be able to buy one of these over the counter and theres 100 different kinds on Amazon. Can anyone recommend an appropriate tool for the GS500 valve that perhaps they've used before?
2009 GS500F, no fenders/headlight. Look for the yellow helmet.

Local ones I found were too expensive and the head I took to have them put in at a garage couldnt be done.

So, I just looked up alternative methods.

thats what got me started with ideas on putting them back in.

To take them out, either follow that video if you have a magnet like that, or replace the magnet with the hit of a hammer on the socket.

to put them back in, needle nose pliers were alot harder for me.
so I just took the 19mm socket, set those lil thingies that I forgot the name of in place and pressed down on the socket with a Long screwdriver.
few tries and they all fell into place :)

I bought one of these awhile back because my regular one was too big for motorcycle engine head work.  Was simple to use, not too expensive and OTC is a good name.

Brilliant! That's tempting. Watching those collets go flying, in my garage they would be GONE FOREVER.

thats why you use the 19mm socket trick.

they wont fly anywhere using that.
u push down, let it up and not fly off, pick it up and check to see if they set.
if not, rinse & repeat.

which I also forgot to say, that was another reason I tried the socket.
I did have 1 set go flying. haha

im all for the proper tools, but even $40 for something I was probably only going to use once for at Least a year (unless I have bad luck and have more problems) haha
Then I was fine with the alternative.

Guess I didnt search enough tho, that one listed is the cheapest one I've seen so far.

I would have bought it if my current life situation was different. (in a hurry with limited time to move)

but seriously, try the 19mm trick.
it was really easy, just need a little patience and something holding the bottom of the valve in.

I'm sorry but the angle is too sharp, this method is never ever ever going to work. I should have bought the tool.

forgot to add about that haha

I had a few things underneath the head to even it out, but mine was still at a slight angle, but not as sharp.
was mostly to hold the bottom of the valve in place but it helped for both.

dunno man, it was a slight pain in the butt at first but after using that 19mm socket, it was cake almost.

majority of the time only one pin would fall into place.
so I would just line up the 2nd one, angle it so it would fall into place better, and just push down and hope for the best.

and I installed all 4 of my valves that way.
so if the sharp angle is killin ya, try to straighten it out better is all I can say.

yes it requires some patience, but for me at least... compared to my other problems, it was easy! haha
