Fiberglass repair

I have a bellypan with a bit of damage and was wanting to pick your brain. I'm going to take it in to get painted by a professional, but thought maybe I could do the repairs myself to cut down on cost. It is fiberglass, not the same plastic as the side covers, so it's a little daunting to me. What fiberglass repair kits do you all prefer? I watched some tutorials and think I can do this, but I don't want to ruin it with the wrong kit. Also, what do you recommend doing about the bolt hole that has a piece knocked out.. so it has a big hole now. Can I fiberglass over it and drill a new hole? Also, as you'll see, there are some scuffs as well. I was thinking about just sanding those smooth and letting the painter take care of the rest. Here's some photos...

Eastwood has a fiberglass repair kit. You might find a similar kit at Homor Despot, Lewds, True Not-a-Value or other stores.

Standard two-part JB Weld specifically states it can bond to and repair fiberglass. http://jbweld.net/products/jbweld.php Also: http://jbweld.net/products/jbstik.php and http://jbweld.net/products/marine.php

My choice would be the JB-Stik. It's like putty and you just form it and stick it to whatever and wait. My guess is the standard JB-weld will be more likely to stick than the other but who knows.

I've gotten fiberglass from home depot. Super easy to learn. it takes a little practice before you can do it well, but there's nothing more to it than slathering the fiberglass material and resin and sticking it on something.

As far as the crack, drill a little hole at the end of the crack so it won't try to crack anymore, sand it down a good bit, lay some fiberglass on the inside of the bellypan and bondo up the outside so you can't see it. I'd try covering the bolt hole and redrilling it. Just make sure when you use it in the future that you put the biggest washer in there that you can to even out the pressure and keep it from cracking again. Should look good when you're done!
