Just a quick question I have seen posts on here that when warming up the bike you guys keep the RPM's above 4000. However when i warm the bike up i try and keep the revs between 1.5k and 2k. The reasons for this is that my thinking is that the higher the RPM's are when the bike is cold the more engine wear you'll get. Am i wrong about this?

oil is circulating, just like when you're running down the road at 8K rpm. if there is any wear happening, something is wrong. very wrong.

most people just don't like the sound or vibration of their bikes (me included) revving needlessly.

The best thing I can tell you is do what makes you feel good. I do the same thing. I tend to follow the same line of thinking, however, there's no real proof that what I think is right.

The higher the RPM's, the more heat generated. The more heat generated, the faster the bike comes up to normal operating temps.

I generally start the bike with half choke (temp depending), put on my gear and go. By the time I hit the nearest intersection to my house, I can cut off choke.

I dont do any of that. I give a little bump of throttle to start and then let it idle (no choke) Idles about 1.2k
