Hey guy!
I figured i should introduce myself on my new favorite forum! Where to begin... I bought my first GS almost 2 years ago now (first bike) and i love it. 1997 GS500E. Blacked out. Wonderful little motorcycle. I have been in 2 wrecks on the bike so far, one cornering on a rural road doing 50 and hit a patch of sand. That was a real wake up call for gear ( i was wearing a helmet but was in a t shirt and jeans...  :nono: ) The damage to the bike was very minimal but i ended up with some pretty good road rash. The second crash was an interesting one, I was crashed into by anther rider while stopped on the side of the road. It was a big Kawasaki that sent my poor GS (and my) flying  I was wearing full gear but the GS ended up with a dented tank and a broken crank case cover as well as some minor stuff. She is all fixed up besides carbs, ready to go for this spring. Just a carb rebuild and she will be back on the Minnesota roads  :D

Hey, you are running out of Down Time.  Get the bike together and enjoy your limited riding season.

Hopefully, this one will be better than last years.

Have more fun than luck.

I'm sorry but the way you described that second crash was hilarious. I just pictured the tiny GS bouncing off the Kiwi.

Haha, it was a little silly. Maybe no so much for the dude that hit me on the Kawasaki. He was an ultra squid (didnt even have a pair of f%$king sun glasses on...) and flew off his bike into the ditch. Hope he learned his lesson...
