I really don't want to let this one go but I just bought a home and have to make big sacrifices. I purchased this bike from the original owner who purchased it brand new in 1979. I kept this bike in his garage for over 30 years and only put 3K miles on it. I purchased it a few years back and have added another 1500 miles to it when the sun was out. Right now it has less than 6K on it and is in perfect working condition. It has an electric start & a kick start which I though added that vintage look to it. There is nothing wrong with the bike mechanically and very little cosmetically. Other than a little where & tear from being 30 years old, this bike is in GREAT condition.

Hate to let it go but I need the money. . .

I really hate being basically Too big for those bikes! (not fat!) haha

Those nice small bikes are just that sometimes (like that one) Very nice and usually cheaper then larger bikes. (that I've seen)

Heck I even look a lil big for the GS500, but I dont care and thats the smallest I will go.

It's 230 miles from me though. I'm thinking rent a trailer and take it. Worth the money?
I'd give him more like $400 though.  :icon_twisted:

$1500

As it so happens, this is right in my backyard.  :thumb:

As a newb to GS500's (and riding in general) what should I look for/at on a used one to judge its worth? Are there any particular trouble spots/signs that I should watch for? Is $1500 a good price on this '95?

Classic CL scam.  "Just go ahead and send the money and I will ship it to you".  :bs:

steezin_and_wheezin

haha not even a good spammer! i got the same auto reply message when i asked for photos/vin haha

i found that insane deals on gsxrs are usually too good to be true. with the market for those things, even an untitled ones go for a fair price since that are regularly raced.

hmm...i may have to scrunch together money to make this happen. Not worth $900 though. more like $600. Thoughts?

I donno. $900 seems decent with all the extras. Pretty pricey exhaust. It shouldn't be too terribly hard to fix the starting problem. I'd offer $750 and go from there.
