For sure mang, the hobbits hold their value pretty well. Got all three for $240! They are a little rough right now. Plan is to make 1 running hobbit and part the rest. Might end up having to part everything to make back my investment. Not stressing it though, got them to learn 2 new engine layouts, and stoked to dabble with the variated transmission on the hobbits.

I used to have a hobbit, top tank conversion, 70cc kit, and a modified 6 roller variatior. Got to about 40 mph. That variatior is fun to watch

Is my price ok? I'm still new to the gs500 world so I'm not sure what they go for! I've done a lot of the mods shown here on the forums too but was awaiting approval of my registration for quite some time and finally I got approved today!

How can you tell if a bike is impossible to ride, embarassing or just plain stupid?

"I have a very rare bike ...... only thirty six bikes made and why only thirty six....... this bike only has 120 orig miles , just need to find it a good home"

How can you tell if a bike is good and fun to ride? Probably you'd see something like

"40k miles. Runs great. Not pretty, but never failed to start. Selling because (pick one) moving, wife, kids, want a bigger bike or..."

jestercinti

The problem with one of a kind or rare items is it's value.  How do you know what it's worth?

And even if you do, who the hell will buy it?  That's the next issue.

NOW IS A BAD TIME TO SELL ANYTHING MOTORCYCLE RELATED!

Buy in the Winter Sell in the Summer...

In the winter all the squids and fair weather riders are selling there bikes and because no one wants a bike when its cold you buy them then cause they are cheaper.

Then in the summer all the squids with daddy's bank account want bikes. Then you can jack the price up on your bike a bit.

2004 GS500F (Sold)
2001 GS500 (being torn apart)
1992 GS500E (being rebuilt)

Slack

I remember reading an article about those bikes when they were invented.  It provides an extremely comfortable seat for a sport bike, and the idea behind the seat being so low was to lower the center of gravity on the bike making it more stable.  The ride review said that it was different, but a blast to ride.

If I had a 1/36 bike I probably wouldn't ride it either.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!
