Finally on my first set of tires I've started fresh. I'm loving the feel of new ones and can't wait til i slap some freshies on the GS.

Here's my Pilot Powers on my drz SuMo after ~75 miles of scrub in. strips are a bit smaller now!



After smoothing out my lean surge with the 3x3 mod/rejetting my strips will soon disappear!!

mine are huge. but i'm slow lol. plus my tire is square, the transition from flat part of tire to the tread is not confidence inspiring  can't wait to get my 006 podium on the back!

One of my favorite Leon quotes.  A lot of newbies think lack of chicken strips on their tire shows skill when in most cases it just shows poor body positioning.  As Leon says, "Why would you want to lean the bike over further than you need to? If im not going fast enough to need more lean angle, why would I use more?"

i'm a noob. in a sense. i don't push my bike hard and ride following the guidelines in group riding. I don't want to make myself noticed by hanging off the side of my bike like an ape lol. I use the counter steer method, and it works. i understand you can go faster at more of an upright angle by hanging off the bike further, it transfers your COG. I passed a cop doing 60 through a corner in a 35 sitting straight up and down like a statue, never even saw brake lights I'm sure if i'd been hanging off the side i would have surely gotten a ticket. I just put this thread out there for fun

We run the supermoto's and minis on the kart track. They are under new ownership and are now known as "Pittsburgh International Raceway".  It is unknown at this point whether supermoto will continue or not.  ESMRA (supermoto race sponsor) pulled the plug on all Northeast racing for this year.....

She's a beast!  260 lbs with 55hp at the rear wheel! She will stand up with no problems in 1st thru 4th gear.  All that comes at a price though, the maintenance is a PITA!  300-500 mile oil changes with AGIP 10-W-60 and valve checks every 3rd oil change.......I very rarely even throw the tag and light on it for the street because of the high maintenance.  I put 2/3 of it's miles on last season on the track, and one big street ride that we do every year in Delaware which was 175 miles..........total sore ass.

As for the YZ 450F, kick start only becomes a real pain all the time when you are kicking over a tuned high compression motor.....

The Husky 510 is a high compression 450 motor with a stroked crank.  runs on 93 octane at least.....It runs better on a 50/50 mix of race fuel and 93.  as for the oil, she only holds 1.5 liters and the trans and crank share the same oil.  It's used up after a few trackdays and comes out black.......Since I put a slipper clutch on it last year, it's better to keep fresh oil in there to keep from frying the clutch pack....And the Husq has E-start
