Mary,

When a man has an issue, he internalizes it to deal with it himself. If that creates a noticeable change a mate might say, "Hey dude, something up" which will garner the response, "nah, I'm alright" and the other guy will drop it - because if the roles were reversed he would also like it to be dropped. The guy with the issues will then keep on carrying on.

Short answer: We deal with our own shaZam! and only verbalise to others if it is Real bad or Really needs to be offloaded.

So disregarding the sex inference, if a guy asks and gets a "nothing's wrong" thing he will...

1 - drop it cause that's what guys do
2 - ask again, because unlike a guy who says "no" and then carries on, the women keeps on making Obvious noises, gestures, etc., that something is wrong.

A second negative response will then create the attitude, "Oh well, she'll tell me on her own time."

From the woman's point of view - depending on the woman...

1 - he is too clingy
2 - he doesn't care

Guy cannot win.

The interaction between a guy with an issue and another guy does not make a guy think.... man, Bob is real clingy asking me what's up - or - I Thought Bob was my mate but he isn't constantly asking about me, boo hoo. It's simpler... Bob did the right thing... asked, then dropped it.

Short answer: A guy knows where he stands with another guy cause there is only one outcome and the outcome doesn't change.

If no more is forthcoming after an Ask, then the issue isn't that big. Carry on.
