People train dogs.

Cats are smarter: they train people.

Stitch knows how to use the kitty door. It is right next to the back door. When I'm around, we will sit (inside or outside) and call to me to open the real door for him. I'm just a doorman for my cats.

I can let him out the front door. He will run around to the back/kitty door and run in. Only to have me let him out the front door again.

I'm a doorman for my cats. At least it's a job.
LMFAO aint that the truth lol

Be careful, or you will end-up with a cat who's a drunk, then he will be completely dependent on you.. oh yeah, he already is!  :dunno_black:

Lawrence is deathly sick

Yesterday he was acting a little sluggish, didn't really think anything of it. Had an appointment at the vet for this morning. When i tried to get him going this morning he was really wonky. Was just completely limb, couldn't hardly move or anything.. Took him to the vet and they said it was either a server concussion or feline distemper.

Pretty damn crushed.. Doc gave him a less than 50% chance. I feel like its partly my fault since I had him for a week and didn't get him in the vet sooner.

Ouch! Horrible! Hope the little guy makes it.

You said he was the runt of the litter. Maybe there's something else wrong.

Hope the vet finds out what it is.

Pixie and Stitch are catching mice for him.

Preciate guys!! The meese catching and cat prayers have helped

Came home yesterday to the little guy chilling and feeling much better!!

Doc gave him a good report today, must have been a pretty severe concussion. He's up, eating and drinking well. Balance has gotten much better since yesterday.

There's no damn way i could stomach having a kid. I've had this kitten for a week and I was struggling yesterday when he was just laying there rag doll style.. So stoked he's getting better.  Going to keep him in the carrier when we can't watch him, at least til he's back to 100%

Thanks again guys, really means a lot. It was touch and go there for a second.

I must have missed something, how does a kitten get a concussion, and how did they determine that's what it was?

Glad he's home.
Stitch says HI!

Great photo adidas!!

I had never heard of a kitty concusion before either. I was glad to hear it though, as it was much better than the other thing he mentioned- 'feline distemper' which is a pretty awful disease/virus.

He's tiny, and fearless. Bad combo! Caught him jumpin from the couch to our coffee table(prob 1-2 foot gap with a 2' drop.) He got his front paws on i caught his back paws haha. I'm guessing he was jumping around at night and tried something stupid. When i woke up he was in his bed, but not moving at all. Pet and talked to him to try and wake him up. Nothing, not even an eye twitch. Picked up one of his little paws and it just dropped like a rag doll. When I finally got his eyes open they were fully dilated with no contracting at all.. He seriously looked done for..

I thought the doc just sad a concussion to ease the blow of possibly having distemper. Turns out he was right, eyes are back and dilating. Balance is getting better, and he seems to be getting back to his normal self.

w00t!!
Glad he's ok :woohoo:

Always liked cats and dogs but never had the opportunity to keep any so far.
During the last few years I've enjoyed the company of my gf's 3 cats and 2 dogs (actually four of them in total, two died last summer), but only when I spend weekends at her place.
When I move out with her (she's truly maniac about felines, and when I say maniac I mean it :icon_mrgreen:) one or two kittens are definitely on the to-do list!
We looked for our first house keeping a garden as a prerequisite for this.

Best of luck to Lawrence!

Lawrence is doing great! Roommates were on pops duty while I was camping at Trail Days over the weekend.

He's getting bigger everyday now!!

Here's a couple photos, gotta work on my cam skills more to get a good crisp photo of that dark fur
