So here are some of the upgrades i saw are the most popular I have tried to find some threads about them but dont really understand them at all.

So First I was looking to get a Vance Hines Exhaust:

1) Whats the difference from slip on and full exhuast perfer to get cheapest unless it really really effects it.
2) What is needed to do the V&H exhaust i read you need to do rejetting and lunchbox filter?
3) If so what is rejetting?
4) What are the advantages to the K&N lunchbox filter.

If you guys have anything else i would need to know to get a new exhaust?

Have you read the wiki?

If you plan on keeping your bike for a while, I highly recommend it.

I rejetted, and could not be happier.  I only rejetted because I am going to keep my bike until it dies.

My setup for comparison purposes is 20/65/142.5 for the 2001+ carbs.  I have a lunchbox and a stock exhaust.  I'd go at least +1 on the pilot and check the wiki for your setup for the main jet and mid-main if applicable.

If you don't know what re-jetting is, maybe just enjoy your bike as it is. Otherwise you might end up like the countless individuals who come back with a topic title like, "bike doesn't run above idle after re-jet" or "can't figure out where all these carb hoses go"
