Hello there! I just got my first bike and have been looking for some gears, cant believe I could not find any big stores in the area?? Does some one know where to go to around Chicago - Joliet area? Thanks for looking!

There might not be any really big places around. There are several "mom and pop" shops around me, I bet you could find a nice local shop that can order anything you might want! And you'd be supporting the little guys!

Thanks a lot for your reply! Could you please tell me some places in the area that I can go for a visit? I just want to try something on to feel the fit and look instead of ordering on-line base on just photos you know..I live around Joliet by the way..

Try Google.  There wasn't a huge place near where I live, but found one in Columbus, OH where I travel to sometimes for work called Iron Pony.  That place is HUGE!

Agree with Worm.  Support the local places.  My dealer, Cycle Specialties, is cool and can either order things or tell me where to get stuff.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...

The best part about ordering locally is no need to pay for shipping and 2 day waiting period for the order.. Thats how I bought my wifes helmet and beat the shipping days for free. 2 day "priority mail" that delivers to you 8 days out. No way.
