Gas Pouring from Valve Cover Breather

So my '89 had been sitting for close to two years for various reasons and I just got her legal and running again, but was bogging really hard at under 3500 rpms so I figured it was a fuel or carb issue. Made sure the fuel lines weren't kinked and cleaned out the carbs and it seemed to solve the issue but also seemed to burn a lot of fuel. Rode it around for a bout a week,  started it up the other day and fuel just started pouring out of the valve cover breathing tube. Not some little drip, but a flood of gas, especially when given any throttle. Since then I've disassembled the carbs again and made sure all the seals were ok and in place and nothing looks out of the ordinary to me, but it's still dumping fuel out of that hose.

Am I missing something? Could it be something other than the carbs? Any advice would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

That's no good.  My only thought is that you have gas in the oil which is causing too much pressure and is spilling out of the breather.  Was the oil pressure red light on?  Check the following:

Did you leave the petcock on prime?
Are your float needle seats bad?
Float height set correctly?
Fuel hoses routed correctly?

Check the above, and do not run until fixed.  Gas in oil will cause lubrication problems and engine damage.
Bikeless and Broke at the moment...
