Yes my spelling sucks but my tach is sticking to 0. When I start my engine it may take a few seconds to pop up. The needle sticks at the bottem and then starts working. Today it stayed on 0 while ideling on choke until I tapped the tach. I got scared for a minute. Has this happened to anyone here??  :cookoo:

Have you checked the tach cable on the back of the gauge? Most people who have problems like this find that the cable has vibrated loose.
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

Yeah my 04 does that about every other time you start it. I just tap it and it pops up.

04+ would be a lose wire - take off the back and tighten the wires.

Older would be lose tach cable. Sometimes the metal flange on the end of the cable wears out and the cable won't stay in. Had that happen to a speedo cable.

Is it hard to take the back off and tighten them? I have an 04. and Thanks everyone. Also I had to tap it for it to go on this am.

Simple. Pretty much just take off the 2 nuts on the back and pull it out from the front. Tighten the screws on the wires and put it back. If that doesn't fix it, might be an internal break in a wire or a wire break somewhere else.
