'04+ Seat & Tank WTB Solved -- THIS THREAD CLOSED

Long story short, put bike in barn for a few years, pulled it out yesterday to find tank is full of small holes...  Looking for a rust free replacement tank for it.. '93 GS 500 E..   Stock color is red.. but at this point any color will work.. Thinking this one can be repaired.. brazing and Por-15 tank sealer... but, if for any chance a clean one is available for a decent price... I'm all for easy... Thanks...

Ive got a nice clean tank for an 04+ if you want. You will have to modify your current seat or replace it with an 04+

Does the 04+ Tank and Seat bolt on or does the newer set up need to be modified to work???

The tank bolts in place just the the earlier version. Same for the seat. But the tank is bigger and shaped differently so the earlier version seat has to be modified. If you use the 04+ seat then you do not need to do anything to it.

Good news... Didn't realize that the newer set up's were bolt on and go...  The newer stuff should be plentiful then... PM me the color tank and price you have Keep in mind, I'm in the Boston area for shipping tho.. And I'll do a search for a 04+ seat later on when I have more time... Guessing the fuel petcock and fuel door are with it or does the old stuff transfer as well?? Be good to keep the old low mile bike run ready... Thanks...

Everything will swap over although you can have the petcock with it. I have to keep the fuel cap because it is keyed with the ignition
