Would you say that $130 for a rear wheel with tire and a rear shock with all brakes is a good deal?  I need to answer this guy soon, and I was wondering what the opinion was on the board of a price for this stuff.

As with anything else, it depends on condition. If the wheel isn't true, the tire is bald, the shock leaks, and the brakes are worn out, that price is too much. Pictures will help us help you. Also, there are a whole bunch of different katanas...year & model might also help.
It seems it has become necessary to qualify my posts:

Sorry. I had to make it a quick post. It's a 2001 katana and the pics make it look like everything is great. It's a complete rear swing arm, but I hear that the swing arm doesn't fit. I know everythj g else is a swap. I would post a pic, but it is so difficult on this forum, you'll have to take my word for it. I don't really need the parts(I NEED frontend Parts), but I am wondering if it is too good to pass up.

I think its a good deal if its 130 shipped. I bought my rear Katana rim some time back for 75 with the cush drive, sprocket and rotor. I recently bought my Katana front rim for $57 off ebay!

Now Ive got to send them out to get chromed. For if its all ytou say it is, it sounds food to me.

BTW, posting pics are really easy. Just go upload them somewhere like to Photobucket and then post the image link here

I usually post from my phone and signing up for photobucket is an extra step.  I'm being a little lazy.  :D

Even a link to a CL post or eBay listing would help people help you.

Lazy folks shouldn't expect much in the way of assistance/answers.....I'm just sayin'.  :dunno_black:

The Buddha

An 89-96 katana rear wheel is worthless, unless you really really really want that fugly arss bluish purple ... cos its the same as GS rear wheel.
The 98 and later - not sure about any 97 kat junk, 97 was a mish mosh year for the kats, straight spoke wheel is a drop in for a GS and its a 4.5 vs the 3.5 of the gs.

Cool.

The price of Katana shocks seems to be going up as of late... So, probably worth the price. Make sure you have the latest parts - earlier parts aren't worth anything.
