ahh k... my take on it... adidas saw your watermark and made a funny that maybe instead of having the watermark 'printed' on they should have gstwins.com or similar ... then Buddha ran with that and got to the racing team idea... all just messin with the idea of the superimposed 'decal' .. i think...

but... now at least 2 people on the internet think it could be a race team brand maybe?... even 'uncle' Kenny Block had to start somewhere! .. mebbe you are destined to lead the WeedyHoes raceteam! .. sponsored by a garden equipment brand.. or possibly by a big time pimp with exceptionally slender 'ladies' ...

this is one of those ... well... not exactly think outside the box... but more think outside the warehouse that the box is kept in ... situations  ;)  :thumb:

If a Weedahoe Racing team bike crashes would that be a "Hoe Down"?

LOL.

Looks damn good and I'm normally not a fan of cf.  Albany is a reasonable drive from me.  Can't wait to see the finished product.  Might have you do the same on mine if you have time.

I got to say, workmanship wise, it looks VERY well done.

I, however, don't get the logic of making something heavier by adding Carbon Fiber wrapping. The reason Carbon Fiber parts look so damned cool has nothing to do with what CF looks like. An all CF bike "looks" amazing because you know it is extremely light. It has been cut to the bone. A ton of time and care has gone into making a part purely to save a few grams. CF should replace things, not be added to things. It completely defeats the point of CF and cheapens the concept. Makes me think of stick-on hood scoops. :dunno_black:

Well keep in mind this stuff is only a vinyl wrap. It is about 8 mils thick which still isnt not very much at all. If you pull and stretch this stuff too much, you will rip it. Its all about looks. Thats all this stuff is for. As for grams and weight and weight reduction and speed, I didnt buy my 500 for speed and I wont be getting out there trying to race a 600+ bike.

I like it and prior to seeing this thread had actually ordered similar lookalike material to apply to one of my bikes.  Basically the alloy finish has deteriorated in some areas and so I need to either paint, powder coat or otherwise cover the ugliness.  This does the job and looks pretty cool at the same time.  I also hope you mean 0.8mm thick as well, 8mm would really weigh the bike down. :icon_mrgreen:

weedahoe

No, 8mils is different that 8 millimeters. 4 mils is about the thickness of a sheet of paper. Its how paint thickness is measured. Ive powder coated a lot of my truck parts and some of my bikes pieces. If it is pitted, bead blast everything and then use a metal epoxy to fill in, sand smooth and then powder coat.

Like you need that with your beautiful bike Seamax?

No, but it looks good. I too can't wait to see the end product. I'm just wanting to do my gauge cluster bezel in CF. I had some cheap stuff and it looked nice for a couple of months but then started pealing.
