I'm not normally a fan of the dual dominator lights that I see people putting on, but in your case it really works.  My only gripe would be the dash not being in the middle of the triple really bothers me.

The West Seattle Tool Library just got a ShopBot - a 24x18 CNC router. It can cut wood, plastic and aluminum. A bracket could easily be made with it to move over the gauge to the middle. You take an introductory class where you learn to cut a letter out of wood then you are free to use it. Computer time and set-up time is free, Actual cutting time is $1 a minute so you could make a bracket for probably under $5.

Ya know, when I was installing the dash, I wanted it to be centered at first. I was looking at ways of mounting it but the problem is that the ignition is right there and creates this awkward gap. Plus it would be a little to far forward for me. I thought about moving the ignition but didn't want to go down that road. So I settled on the left side and to tell you the truth, I really like it there now. You already have a bit of asymmetry with the brake reservoir on the right side and the dash helps to balance that out a little.

That's good to know about that tool library. I'll definitely have to check that out. I have some other projects that I'm sure could benefit from that.

Gonna take the intro to shopbot class on the 10th. It's gonna be sweeeeet!

I'll be there at the class as a refresher and go over my first project: making smoke plastic gauge lens thingies. I think they would look cool with colored LED under them and the ShopBot could cut them out of 1/4" smoke acrylic plastic.
We can get together and talk bikes, too. I live a few blocks from the community center.
