Long time lurker, first time poster. Just wanted to say I'm happy to count myself amongst your number, looks like there is a good community here. I bought the 2009 GS500F in 2010 and have been in love since. I'm working on stripping it down to naked, and I'll post some pictures as the project moves along.

Off topic Ghand, can you explain to an Aussie why Kansas is pronounced as it looks but Arkansas is pronounced Arkansaw and not as it looks? I have always wondered this point.

Ha, get asked this all the time. I hear the reason for this is because when the French explored this region, they met the Quapaw Indians, and named the state after them, called them the "Arkansas". The spelling is French, so the state was at one point actually "Arkansaw". There was a government hearing that changed the name to "Arkansas", and kept the pronunciation of "Arkansaw" in honor of the original people who lived here. Whew, that's a doosy.
