I bought my 1993 GS for $1,300 USD in 2011. The only thing wrong with it was old tires. I didn't talk the seller down. He asked $1,300 and it was worth that.

Saw this bike and the guy told me he would sell it to me for 1100$ I just want the exhaust off it then try to resell.

Think that would work? Theres quite a few gs500s on craigslist here but they dont seem to really sell that well. Dont know why I always get compliments on my bike and really enjoy riding it.

Heck I'd check it out, if he really is moving and everything checks out, you could pick it up for cheap... if things don't, you only wasted a little gas money on your interests... people waste a lot more money on their 'interests' at a bar, so it could be spent worse..
