Correct.  Or more correctly - when the cork accidentally gets push down into your bottle of wine. It lets you pull the cork out before serving.
You stick it into the bottle. When the cork gets between the 3 wires, you push down on the red thingy (everything has a "thingy") so the wires grip the cork then pull it out.

Next time I won't give such obvious hints.  :nono:

You were right though, I didn't know it existed... I have seen corks removed from a bottle via a plastic bag, but the bottle must be empty for that.

It was the hint.  I had no idea what it was before that.

Looking for random oddball item,.........used the door for size reference.  :icon_mrgreen:

This famous one is actually a photoshop job done here in the Seattle area. A few years ago the father, daughter and cat (normal size) were at a cat show. He sent the photo to her and it went viral.

I love the bog cat photos. I wish cats could be bigger - but then I'd have no place to sleep. Already hard with 2 on the bed - one always wanting pets and scratches and the other pouncing on that thing moving under the covers (my feet).

I thought it was a cat scratching post at first too, until I saw the scale.... You know about Maine Coons right?... they can get nearly as big as the cat in that picture... upto 25lbs I'd say, and probably more if they get overweight.  Heck I'm pretty, it was Washington State's Vet Med that held much of the research on the Maine Coon breed and their relation to heart problems.

Looks like some sort of headed sleeve insulator for PCBs or perhaps a radio connector insert.

Is it open on both ends?
Is it tapered? (hard to tell due to camera angles and close up settings)

If open both ends, I'd guess it is an insert into the end of a plastic hose for a compression type fitting. I have some similar things in brass for brass fittings.

Open on both ends.  Not tapered.  Kiwi is on the right track.

This one is slowly going to drive me a little insane.. I keep thinking shouldered Ferrule / spacer for a connector, but the size doesnt seem right..
