ok last clue since it is 10 pm almost here..yea i am an old fart that needs his sleep. it is a pyrotechnic device. used in an aircraft system for when things go very bad and it has a one time use. sorry for the value jet reference..newer aircraft may have this system installed in the baggage compartments. but this system has been installed on engines for years.

yes it has everthing to do with fire exstinguishing and fire bottles.. and yes it #6 in the picture. thats a style i have not seen for a while with a single lead, it gets its ground through the unit and bottle. the on i posted has 2 contact pins one for power and one for ground.
