Rack mount pin and/or sled mount pin? Just a wild guess  :dunno_black:
Another guess somewhat in the right direction but not exact enough.

john

Is it a part for a gravel spreader?

No.

Read back a little. There are two that were going in the right direction.

john

A pin - yes.
Assembling a piece of furniture? No, not to assemble one piece but what if you have more than one assembled?

well i dont even know if i named my idea right.... i know what it meant in my mental image... but oh well...

i better have another look at the widget....

if that is a standard postage stamp size then its a small widget!!

edit...

ok.... is it a small pin that retains a spring and cable for either the handle of a recliner lounge chair or down on the actual action end of the cable where it joins the scissor arm bit that extends the footrest?

it may not be right... but its pretty specific!!  ;)

Badot

Sounds to me like it's used to stack/affix multiples of a type of some sort of furniture together... like stacking shelving units or something. As far as specifics, no idea.

john

Is there a clip that goes into each groove?  That is the only way I can see an attachment point through a piece of metal/plastic.

I'm going to branch off this idea and say it's the hinge pin for said scissor arm...

Close enough. Holds sets of adjacent shelving units together.

I feel I should point out, I was simply agreeing with the chamber flag, I was not the person who posted the pic nor am I confirming for them that it actually was what it is.
Maybe posting a new pic jumped the gun a little.

That being said, you can see the lettering on the ring.  Dead giveaway...
