Sorry janx, not related to pipework, not a bender either.

ragecage23

Not related to pipe work
Not a bending device
Vaguely used for tensioning
Not used in marine applications
Not used for securing loads

Does it latch to anything and pull something into place?

Is it some sort of a plug, or a faucet?

Rage and Axe are the closest so far, if you combine their guesses.
Remember, it's a tool, and it's used in a general way for tensioning.
That's a fairly significant hint.
The physical condition of the tool (corrosion, rust, etc...) is NOT directly related the the tool's function, it just happens that my boss isn't very careful with his tools.  :icon_eek:
Let me know when I need to give another hint.

Faucet for a hydrant, or something like that?
2005 Suzuki GS500F

Elmojo

I'm gonna call that close enough!
It's a fire hydrant wrench.
We use it for opening hydrants to do flow testing.

Good job Axe, take it away!

According to the patent office:
"Connecting part, such as a plug or socket, preferably for miniature audio connectors"

axexandru

It is a connecting part, as in it connects to a board. At the other end of the wire is the connecting part but that is not the end that i am interested in. It has nothing to do with audio connectors.

So it's a connector.
It appears to be very small, based on the texture of the table it's on, and I can see shrink wrap on the end.
There's really no way we could guess its use beyond that unless you give some context.

Be aware, this is not very wise advise!

Elmojo

Hahahaha I know what you mean.  :o

It's tough balance to post something that has enough details/context to be guessable, but not so much that it's too easy.

I think Axe needs to give a hint if he wants a more specific answer that simply "a connector".

Lead for a lighter plug base? As in car cigar/cigarette lighter

axexandru

The whole connector is 10 cm in lenght, what you see there is about 8 cm of it. It connects to a board that is used in BTS towers.

Uhh ok :thumb: ... so the wire/cable. .... the bit that connects the board to the antenna? .. no wire no signal broadcast?...

Possibly one of those 50cent parts taking down a million dollar installation type scenario?

axexandru

:)) no, but it will tell you if aomething is wrong with the million dollar equipment

Sooooo. ...  plug in diagnostic lead? ....

This is a bit esoteric for identifying!
