The vertical tubes are the vacuum chamber housing assemblies - I figured posting a picture of a 3000HP electric motor which was at the same site would have been a bit too easy to guess..

It's the light head from the Bodie (pronounced Body) Island lighthouse south of Nags Head, NC.
The light itself doesn't rotate, it flashes. It's amazing that it's run from a rather dinky-looking electric feed. The whole thing is only a couple feet tall. The bulbs are only about 8" high each.
The magic here is in the full height Fresnel lens array. The Forest Service guy I spoke with said it's visible to 12 miles on a clear night.
Those lenses are flat amazing.

The underground comment was in response to your guess of it being a meth lab. I keep my meth lab underground to hide the heat signature from the cops with heli-mounted FLIR. LOL

aye. been using pb for years. have 2 free accts there one as gstwin and one as yamahonkawazuki. now if its a gif youll blow your bandwidth cap QUICKLY

hell ill trade yab2 broken ankles, an infection on those plus a sore throat from the intubation. Hadnt eaten since tuesday. Frigs sake hospital food looks good for a chest infectoon lol

EDIT: Ok, why can I not add an image via a link like the one above?
Don't I just click the "insert image" button and paste the link into the box?
It shows a broken image icon, then ignores it when I preview or post.

hrm ok ... i dont use dropbox so im unsure how you are getting your link info.... i think from looking at your post that you might be copy and paste the address bar info??

i use photobucket .. and to the right of my pics there are a few options for link info to click on... i normally use the direct info one which gives me ... http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad244/Janx101/Mobile%20Uploads/CAM00183_zpsxgrlsy0j.jpg (as example) .. which i insert into the image button result ... (removed the first [ bracket so it cant work )

end of the day ... its ultimately easiest to use the free Photobucket (or imgur) thingies to store your images .. then use the little mona lisa button to insert the direct link info... OR use each sites URL link info thingy to directly put the hosting information into your posts..

That's exactly what I'm doing.
Dropbox has direct links, just like PB or any other image hosting site.
When I use the 'mona lisa' button, it results in a broken image that doesn't show up at all in the post.
Not sure what could be the issue....

If the URL isn't a direct link to the picture, it won't insert the picture correctly.  At least, not in my experience.

For example, this page:

http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles/Products/GSX-R600/2015/GSXR600.aspx  inside of IMG brackets wouldn't really do much.

But this page:

http://www.suzukicycles.com/~/media/397559B5978A4B1395E89BFB1F648562.ashx?h=344  inside of IMG brackets would display the picture of the Gixxer...


I've almost always used file hosting sites like Imageshack, because they take all the BS out of it.  Upload image, click on image, select tag, copy, paste, done.  No insert image, no manually adding brackets, no attachments, just copy, paste, and go.
