Carb starter circuit stuck after cleaning carbs

So I was assembling my carbs after cleaning and rejetting them and I noticed the choke is now stuck. The choke valves (Starter Plungers) seem to be stuck, I did a carb clean in PineSol/Water mix and when drying them I noticed some water in the starter plungers that was hard to get out. At the time I thought of spraying some WD in there to displace the water but I think I ended up thinking they were OK. Well now they are stuck. I took the top caps off and removed the slides to expose the port for the plungers and I can see them fully closed. I and shot some WD in there and I am going to let them soak overnight. Anyone ever have this happen and if so what was the remedy? Is the starter circuit easy to take apart and rebuild without having to replace any parts like the plastic guides for the choke arm ?

Thanks!

#14 wrench. Clearance is close and the holder thingy you put the wrench on is black plastic.
Simple - unscrew and take it out.

As an interesting side note, the newer (not sure of year) 3 jet carb it was pulled from has metal slide guides which can not be removed!

Mine does not look like that, its got plastic clips that hold them in

I am not even sure I can take the linkage off without breaking the plactic guides
These are off of a 93

BTW AG, why does it look like that part is floating in mid-air in your pic. You know you don't have to impress us with your voodoo magic right?  :)

OK well I man-ed up and took them out, was really easy. The have a good amount of gunk on the backside of the plunger, going to clean em up and put it back together. The plan is to have the carbs back on and put on the new tank and be running by Monday!

They cleaned up really well. I lubed em with a bit of two stroke oil for the time being before they get fuel in them.
