I would love to check it out if I were somewhere out on the East Coast.  I've been interested in the the viffers for a little while.  Can you talk a little bit about how it rides compared to the GS?

It's very hard to compare. The VFR is a significant amount heavier - however its hard to tell in the twisties. I actually feel a lot more confident taking curves with the VFR but that may be due to the better tires. The power is also hard to compare because the VFR pulls like a raped ape. If you get on it it will bring the front wheel up on you. The brakes are also better than the GS (dual vs single up front). Stock suspension is decent, but just like most bikes, does leave room for improvement.

Anything eos I forgot?

How about the ergos?
Ergos are awesome on the fifth gen. When I had my GS I had the stock bars and then switched to urban machinery SM-2. The VFR comes with something in between those two. And with the Sargent seat, it's basically a dream to ride. This summer I did a 600 mile, 7 state ride in one day with no problem.
