Yeah, those links definately aren't stock.  Although it looks like you have another set of holes... I have aluminum lowering links on my bike, and each link has two holes similar to yours; the 'shorter' set is stock setting, and the 'longer' set is the lowered setting... But I've also seen lowering links where the only settings are all lowered from stock height...
This is just more information pertaining to your posts, so take what you can from it and don't linger on what you can't  ;)

I can't really see the shock too well from the pics, but the top of it appears to be the stock shock.

yeah i noticed the second set of holes but that doesn't help me right? it just makes it longer and thus lowers it further?

so i'm going to score me some stock links and jack the bike back up to boy height.

the outline of the sticker on the gas tank that says "Who's your kitty?" doesn't help at all. :(

Right, you've got it.  Longer won't help you on this one.  But just to be clear, going back to stock height will raise your seat height to aprox. 31 inches... I mention this just so you have an idea where your feet will be on the ground if you compare that to your inseam, so there aren't any surprises with the change.

Also, I'll add a note about the shock and lowering.  Lowering the bike seems to stiffen the shock a little... Just for example using arbitrary numbers, a preload setting of 4 at stock height, will FEEL like a preload setting of 5 on a lowered bike.  So if yours is soft to begin with, I'd imagine the preload is set very low, especially likely if a 'girl' was the PO... So for your setup, I would make sure you put the shock preload all the way to max 7, because whatever it is at right now will FEEL softer after you raise it than when it was lowered.

Thanks BockinBoy.

I'm going to try and buy the new links and a new side stand from someone on the forums.

and then finally an ignition kill switch for my sidestand.

thanks to gsJack too and the rest of the forum members!

hmm.

my inseam is about 30/31.

will this be a problem?

i'm 5'8"

right now, putting my feet on the ground is very easy. my gf is 5'4'' and she can get her feet on the ground. i can't imagine it will change it that much. i guess i can always undo it...

Doesn't sound like you'll have a problem.  I'm 5'6 with a 29" inseam and I could touch just barely with the balls of my feet when I had stock height.

Yeah, it'll work for your year.  You'll have to take the tank and airbox off to get it in, but it seems you are versed in that, so it shouldn't be a hard swap for you.

Remember to tuck your carb vent hose back behind your airbox when you button her back up!  :thumb:
