What kind of oil should I put into my z1000?

Curious if you like synthetic, semi synthetic (like the 2 stroke oil I use for the dirt bike), or plain old petroleum?

Leaning toward synthetic.  The cost is so minimal compared to my 7 quart truck.

and i'm sorry John, i had no idea you were so attached to your z1000 ... i shouldn't have said you should burn it.. or that it was a boat anchor ... 

bloody kwaka crap would corrode away way to quick to make a lasting anchor!! .. and i beleive if you burn a kwaka then the noxious fumes kill baby bunny rabbits and duckies!! ..

This parts whore is crying! All those beautiful parts - and for why? There are starving children in Ethiopia that could use those parts! God help us.  I hope there wasn't a GS500 in  there.

In all seriousness though if you want a good oil use Mobil 1 for bikes for your kwaka.

If you were here in Australia I would recommend you use Penrite Ten Tenths fully synthetic.

While it is primarily a car oil it clearly states on the back it can be used in four stroke motorcycles with a wet clutch. It is about $20 - $30 cheaper than a fully synthetic motorcycle oil and comes in 5 liters not 4. It is what I run in my Ducati Monster.

Early Detroit diesels! .... And some of the GM diesels from the mid 60's roughly .... But you know in the older movies ... The older style greyhound buses.... With that particular revving shrieky noise on take off?? ... 2 stroke diesel power boyo... Usually a Detroit in the US...

Noisy bloody things though... Had a ride in a truck with a 2 stroke 275hp motor .. When I was a lad... Earplugs were more or less mandatory!
