I put amsoil synthetic into it last oil change.  It was given to me.  I think I'll go with mobil 1 synthetic.  I imagine it is similar to what was in there.

z1000, the 'naked tame ninja'. rode one last night. really nice bike. really nice. can't imagine caring what oil was in it, so long as it handles that good, with that much smooooooth power.

oh, ok, back to oil. yes, whatever is on the shelf, when you change it. that'll do.

got pics ?

What are you people talking about!? That motorcycle is beautiful!! I wish I had one. And if I were you I would definitely put synthetic in that beast like you are planning on doing.
I am into buying bikes that people have given up on and fixing them up!

RIP Patrick Lajko, I miss you man.

Thing is the japs are so focused on each other they are making the exact same thing trying to match each other.

When i got my gsxr,  it had synthetic.  I've kept mobil1 synthetic in it.  Seems fine to me and you can buy the stuff at advance auto parts. I would recommend it.

Not quite as we'll as Mobil 1

lol ! whatever. i'm sure you can find a graph that says "ZOMG ! royal pink and green synthetic spinergy PLUS PRO RACE Edition SPECIAL is 5x better than 10w30!!!" yep, the graphs don't lie. meanwhile, people are riding for 100,000+ miles with zero issues whatsoever related to using plain old car oil.

i swear if SPACE SHUTTLE OIL was for sale, someone would buy it for their $800 gs, ninja, 4wheeler, whatever and claim all others inferior.

True, every oil is practically the same. But synthetic does have additives that help it last longer and promote long lasting engines. It has to do with how well it does changing temperatures over and over again.

They have SPACE SHUTTLE OIL !?!?!!?!? .... Gimme gimme gimme!!!!  :woohoo:

Need it for my 4stroke lawn mower!!! .... Gonna make it a hover unit!!... Reckon Space Shuttle Oil will do that!!!!

I notice you said "if they sold IT" ... Not "IF it existed" ... So I'm assuming it exists and they DON'T sell it!!!! ....

Why!?!?!?!?! .... I WANT Space Shuttle Oil!! ... Make them sell it to me!!!

Now now now now now!!! Gimme gimme gimme!!!! :woohoo:
