I have a annoying vibration through  the bars at about 90 kph  (55 mph ) which wouldn't probably bother most people but I have a old shoulder injury and the slight buzzing makes my hand go a bit numb and tingly after about 30 mins on the freeway. Normal around town riding isn't a problem, is there a way to minimise the vibes like a handle bar brace or similar?

Which gear are you in? 5th or 6th?

Could try Grip Puppies.

Also, loosen your fist's grip. Change grip with just index finger and thumb, then swap to  the other three fingers and palm. Change the angle your hand is on the throttle - bend wrist to left/right. Buy a cramp buster.

Twins buzz And vibrate. More so at different speeds. Either try a different gear or try a different speed to change the harmonics of your buzz. As mister said a $10 cramp buster off eBay may help you out

thanks for the ideas, will look at eBay too.

I find my fuel tank buzzes and vibrates quite a bit in the 6-7k rpm range....... So I spend quite a lot of time riding at that pace , scotched up tight against the tank!!  :woohoo:

Are you wearing good gloves and do you have the bar weights in the end of the bars?

If you have stock bar ends try adjusting them, too tight makes for bad vibes.  Also gloves with gel palms make a big difference in the summer, not so much with heavy winter gloves.  Try leaning on the bars less heavily, a long tight downhill usually gets my fingers tingling with non gel summer gloves.

Forgot, the first summer on my first GS years ago my fingers would go completely numb after an hour or so of highway riding and a set GenMar risers all but eliminated that problem.  Have had them on both GSs ever since.  Mandatory accessory for an old man without much stomach muscles left.   :icon_lol:

By adjusting them I think he saying to make sure if they are tight or a smidge loose. In his case to tight was causing bad vibes

mister

Oh yeah, don't ride at 90. Make it 80 or 100, if it vibes too much for you at 90.

Also, sometimes peeps ride with the wrist angled Up too much

This...

VS....

You may find your wrist is too much like image one when at speed. try moving your wrist around on the throttle so it is more like image two and see if that helps as well.

+1 on the gloves.  That helps me out a lot. I have a pair of olympia gloves with gel in the palm that actually help.
