Sunday's ride... perfect winter's day with an '82 GS450 leading a brand new BMW S1000 and GSXR 1000 and then seeing an immaculate old Ferrari in the car park... the photo's don't do it justice...

Ahem! Bite your tongue.  :nono:  The Tard Farm is just fine. It is not dieing. It is my life.

Now please post a funny gif so we can all post clever comments about it.
Thank You.

Exactly why I stay here in the LPW basement.
I can say Obama is such a damn p u s s y that he rides a Ninja 250... and no one here takes it personally.

BTW, what the hell are "brake shims"?

What? Obama on a Ninja? Nah never! Surely he's a Harley guy? Or a Buell Blast maybe?  :dunno_black:

Electrical Tetris is done... same voltage at the coils and headlight as the battery now... lovin' it!

Brake shims?... an elusive dark art of braking systems if you ask me... They fit behind the pads and are supposed to prevent brake noise.  We know Suzuki got this part wrong for the rear brake of the GS500, so its hard to believe in them if you ride one. But most brake systems do have them and they are specific to the pads they are designed to fit, and do work well as a result.  Its when other worn parts of the system such as discs don't mesh well with the pads, that shims don't seem to do anything and are many times left out when pads are replaced... Hence, the argumentative exchange found in the recent thread in general discussion...

Two items here. . .

1.) Thank you B-Boy for the tech-update on brake shims. You Sir are a fine gentleman and obviously a gifted GS mechanic.

2.)  cbrfxr67. . . Your vile representation of ATGATT is upsetting.

I can actually see past her bung and into her cavernous clapper area.
I guess the only question I can ask is; do ya' think she's running brake shims or just the bare calipers on that rear?
