Hahahahahaha that's hilarious Yama!

EJ... yeah... it'll be a while... quite a while... but I've already been waiting quite a while so I'm sure I'll cope  :woohoo:

I've already got parts lined up though and I think some key ingredients are already close as well so things are looking good. It's gonna be a long term project either way so I'm prepared to try to be patient.

The hardest part will be offloading that little Ducati and associated bicycle bits I think but that will generate some $$$ for the project as well as free up space for the Kat bits.

Not that I'm excited or anything...  :icon_rolleyes:

Looks like the Kat parts are being lined up for me... I'm trying not to get too excited but damn it's hard!!!

A better man than I; I haven't got the organisational skills to have an affair, much less the lady pulling power to get the attention of more than one female at a time. Hell, I sometimes wonder if the main squeeze even interested :icon_lol:

In any case, it looks like that frame will pretty soon house far too much horsepower and go way too fast for the nanny-state to allow. We better see pics!

peteGS

The frame was listed as 1984/85... 'tis an import so doesn't have a local compliance plate with a date of manufacture on it. Just waiting on the import papers at the moment so I can see what's on those.

Capacity wise... I believe there is the bulk of an 1100 motor in the parts being lined up for me, but my hope is to be at 1260cc or larger if I can swing it  :icon_mrgreen:

The problem is that the two Kats I've had the pleasure of riding have been 1260cc and 1360cc... so now I just don't see the point in anything smaller... but of course I need it to remain reliable and streetable so I can commute if the 450 is off the road for some reason...

I'll have no idea what piece you're referring to unless you include one of the following: Doobly doo, thing-a-ma-jigger, or dibbledy dop.

Well... The frame and the bonnets look mighty fast.
And she'll be light as all hell without an engine or trans.__ __

no redline. will never float a valve, ( arent any) nor break a con rod arent any. hardest part would be getting power to rear wheel. possible if bike was shaft driven. would be wicked and prolly lethal lol
